Our safari story:

We are Kim and Jan.

Together we have over twenty years' combined field-guiding experience. We have worked for SANParks as well as other private concessions within the Southern section of the Kruger National Park. As qualified field- and trail- guides, we have spent countless hours exploring the park’s vast untamed wildness on game drives and walking trails, interpreting animal tracks, and studying their behaviour.

Our careers inside the park have led to many great animal encounters. The memories stay vivid in our minds and make us grateful every day. Each time we visit the park we get to have a new experience. We look forward to meeting you to share the adventure and our passion for wildlife and the Kruger National Park.

Who are we?
Open vehicle safari | Sentashya Safaris

As professional field guides, we take day visitors into the Kruger National Park from Crocodile Bridge gate for hosted safari experiences. We use an elevated vehicle that is open to the environment for all our day tours. This ensures that we get a clear view of the animals and optimize every sighting for the best photo opportunities possible. There are no filters on our wildlife experiences.

The day's adventure will start well before sunrise, with collection and drop-off at your specified accommodation. We will enter the park via Crocodile Bridge gate. Once inside, we will not be permitted to exit the vehicle until we reach our designated pitstops. From our port of entry, Lower Sabie, Skukuza, and a few other iconic landmarks are within a day trip's reach. These pitstops will give us the opportunity to have a leg stretch, use the toilet, and have a bite to eat.

Once refueled and ready-to-safari, we will strategize our return leg home based on what we have already seen and what leads we have picked up along the way. The Southern section of the park is rich in wildlife and well-known for it. Our day safari’s give you the opportunity to learn about Kruger Park’s natural history and experience raw nature in one of the last true wildness areas left on earth.
